I was in Jamaica for a week and came back with a little Reggae melody. which became “Why’d You Do It” I told the guys, “I hear this as Reggae but I don’t want to make it sound Reggae. Let’s do something different with it.“
Brian Stoltz said, “Look. This is a Reggae song. Why don’t you just play it like a Reggae song? Don’t force it to be something it’s not. It is what it is, so let’s just do that.”
He was right!
