I’m a musician. I write music. I play songs. That’s what I do. I’m in the music business and that’s what I have to do first. I fell in love with music as a kid, listening to songs, sitting at the piano playing songs, going over to friends’ houses, “Hey, I learned this song. Let’s play it together.” That primal energy of creating music and playing it with somebody is the thing I love the most. So I keep that at the forefront.
