It’s the energy. The energy is created by the fans, the musicians, the restaurants, the clubs, the festival staff on down to the volunteers. We are all in it for the same reason, to promote what we feel is important about Louisiana culture.

We musicians travel all over the world to play our music. Then for two weeks we stay home and play our music while the rest of the world comes to us. That’s rewarding.

People come from all over the world during Jazz Fest to absorb our culture, take in its beauty, devour our food, and really experience New Orleans. It’s exciting every year and it never gets old.
