“Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” is a song written to honor Huey “Piano” Smith, the famous early New Orleans rock ‘n’ roll artist, pianist, songwriter and bandleader. Huey wrote the timeless songs “Rockin’ Pneumonia” and “Sea Cruise”. Huey Smith and the Clowns were the house band at the famed New Orleans jook joint The Dew Drop Inn, backing up Ray Charles, Little Richard, Etta James and others. The sound is a throwback to the famed days of the New Orleans R&B sock hops of the ’50s and ’60s, a sound that is still alive in New Orleans today and features Professor Longhair alumni Ward Smith on a great tenor solo, channeling New Orleans sax legend, Herb Hardesty.
